Foundation expands CmiA performance expectations with the introduction of new criteria

With immediate effect the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) adopts its CmiA standard vol. 3. This entails further expanding the current existing set of criteria in vol. 2. It currently regulates that certain practices, such as child labor, slavery, or forced labor are prohibited and sustainable farming methods to protect humans and the environment are to be applied. In order to improve the positive impact the CmiA standards has on the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and their families, the AbTF will continuously work on improving their criteria. The foundation and technical certification committee have thus adopted the following changes:
